On Wednesday, Oct. 14, the AHS theater department will be performing Class Acts, where the four grades compete to win trophies and money for their grade. Each grade has to perform a play chosen by their directors and the judges will determine the winners.

The senior class of 2010 rehearses for their play to be performed at Class Acts. They have not yet revealed the name of their chosen play.
“The judges have not been revealed yet” said sophomore Jessica Fredericksen. Class of 2013 has not been given detail of their play yet, but will be performing in several weeks.
The class of 2012, sophomores, are currently working on a play called The Seussification of Romeo and Juliet. Sophomore Jessica Fredericksen said, “It’s a really funny and goofy comedy that simplifies Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet to the simplistic Dr. Seuss level.”
According to junior Sandra Abilmona, the class of 2011 has been working on a play called Anne-Arky. Sandra said, “It is basically a play within a play. It is about a theatrical class who is going to perform and find out an agent is arriving.”
Senior Julie Jurenas, representing the class of 2010 did not reveal the name of her play. She said, “I don’t want to spoil the play, so I will just say it’s about a doctor’s trip gone wrong. To find out what happens, go watch the play on October 14th.”
The 2009 class acts will be held in the AHS auditorium on Wednesday, October 14 . Tickets will be on sale during the week of the performance and at the doors. May the best class win!
