Take a break from the stress of tests and massive amounts of homework and projects you have to complete in your little amount of free time. Instead, gather a group of friends and battle your way through a scavenger hunt. A fun game with friends is just what you need to set your mind at ease.
No need to worry if you have never done a scavenger hunt before, because it is very easy to learn. First off, gather at least six people and divide into teams of three to five each. Your teams will be competing against each other by searching for and completing everything that is on the scavenger hunt list. You will need a camera to document each event and a car to transport you from place to place, unless the boundary limits are within walking distance.
Give yourself a time limit of two hours or less to complete the tasks on the list. The team that completes all, or most, of the tasks from the list and has documented proof (i.e. pictures or the item itself) by the time limit, wins the scavenger hunt. Read the rules and reminders to keep a couple of things in mind before you begin your hunt.
The List:
1. Take a picture of your entire team inside a bathtub
2. Get a disposable toilet seat cover
3. Cluck like a chicken and do the chicken dance at a KFC
4. Get a stranger’s autograph
5. Put on a tiara and a pink feather boa while talking to strangers with a British accent
6. Get a receipt for 30 cents worth of gas
7. Play duck-duck-goose in a grocery store
8. Pose like mannequins in front of a store display window
9. Sled down a hill on a trash can top, food tray or other item of your choosing
10. Get a tiny sample spoon from an ice cream shop
11. Go into Starbucks and take a picture with someone drinking a latte
12. Have a teammate propose to a stranger
13. Take a picture of your whole team stacked in a human pyramid
14. WALK through a Burger King drive through and ask for a Happy Meal
15. Leap frog your way from your car to your next destination
16. Do karate in front of an Asian-style restaurant
17. Take a picture of your group posing in front of a store where the first letter of the store title is not capitalized
18. Pose with your entire team on a tree (bonus if you include a cat)
19. Find a street that begins with the letter ‘P’ and take a picture under it
20. Take a picture of your group sitting with a family you do not know at a restaurant
