We have all heard by now the latest report published by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Trust for America’s Health, which projects that half of the American population will be obese by 2030.

Here are some more interesting predictions taken from the report that might make you think twice before you eat:

• 13 states could have adult obesity rates over 60%

• 39 states could have adult obesity rates over 50%

• Mississippi will probably have the largest proportion of obese citizens

• Colorado is expected to have the lowest obesity rate

• Obesity could cause a loss in economic productivity costing $580 billion
