Senior quits high school league but stays with club

1. What sports do you play?

I play WAGS club soccer all year round, fall season, indoor, spring season, and summer tournaments. I played school soccer and did track freshman and sophomore year and I’ve played volleyball all four years.

2. Do you prefer school teams,= or club teams?

I like club sports better because you have more time to learn about your sport and there is never any drama. You also have the same girls and coach throughout the years.

3. Why  did you quit?

I stopped doing winter track and school soccer after my sophomore year because I took on a fall IB course-load junior year. I was also still competing in club soccer all year round.

4. How has being in only one sport relieve the pressure?

Only doing volleyball with school enables me to have more time to devote to my studies in the winter and spring. Not doing a spring sport with school also gives me more time to study for exams.

5. How did your coaches react?

I didn’t have a personal relationship with the soccer coach so I never talked to her about it. My track coaches were fine with it because they knew I wanted to focus on soccer.
