Is the GoPro Hero 8 Black going to be the next step for vlogging?

On October 1st, GoPro announced the release of the latest device which is the Hero 8 Black. With a starting price of $399. But is it worth it?

At first looks, GoPro kept the same body design but added more advanced features that make the compact camera compatible for the vloggers who want to create a cheap setup without the triple-digit prices. Like the built-in mounting bracket, Media Mod which is sold separately, and the display mod which helps you make sure you’re not out of frame.

As the Youtube game increases, there are so many people that make Videos for entertainment and for Ad Revenue. The only 4 things that people need are a voice, an SD Card, Laptop, and last but not least a Camera.

Pricing, If you wanna become one of those YouTubers who creates all types of content but you’re on a budget, This camera is not made for you. But if you’re in the Vlogging and Action type of is, you’re in luck since you can just grab a Media Mod and a Tripod and you’re set! (Don’t forget your micro SD Card!) But if you want to go to the max and just buy one of those Canon G7X Mark 1,2, or 3. Or a Canon 70D, or 80D. If you have the money.

Spec-wise, it’s only 4.6mm bigger than the naked Hero 7. On the GoPro website, it lists its features and specs. And so here is some to list. 12MP camera lens like all models, Improved Image Stabilization, Digital Lenses (SuperView, Wide, Linear, Narrow), and live streaming in 1080p and you can stream through Facebook, Youtube, and many more to come.

The Verdict is it worth the $399 price tag? Well if you’re starting off Youtube and you want to start somewhere? This is a definite buy for beginners, but if you’re already making videos and want to upgrade? Sure. On the other hand, if you’re a person who wants all the expensive and gimmicky modifications. This is not for you.
