A. I played tennis all throughout high school and we were undefeated my senior year. I was a captain on the Lake Braddock team. I’ve played tennis a total of 18 years.

Q. How do you feel about the team this year?

A. They have absolutely exceeded my expectations; they are talented players, they are so supportive of each other, it is the best part of my day playing tennis with them. I absolutely adore these guys, they’re great. We’re a family.

Q. What do you think is an important quality to have to coach?

A. I think you need to be able to turn a group of strangers into a tribe. They have to be family. I think you have to have fun, but have to work hard. That’s how I coach tennis.

Q. What is your favorite thing about coaching?

A. My wonderful players, I have so much fun out with them, it’s unbelievable. It’s the best job in the school.
