Volleyball Fundraises for Breast Cancer

The Atoms Varsity Volleyball “Dig Pink” night for breast cancer against the T.C. Williams Titans resulted in all three matches lost by the Atoms.

The night also involved the Pink Boys and their volleyball girls each making an original entrance.

“My favorite thing about Dig Pink night was the chants that they were doing before the game, and I like dressing up in this” said sophomore Davian Gonzalez.

In response to the same, junior Nelson Bersal said,”Cheering on for my girl and

wearing all this cool stuff.”

“My favorite part about Dig Pink is that we can all come together as a family and a

team in order to support a good cause, which is breast cancer,” said junior Moesha

Fares.

A variety of pink food and merchandise was sold to raise money for the fight

against breast cancer.

”I think the rest of the season we just need to stick together and cheer each other on,” Fares said. “And we’ll hopefully make the second round of Districts [Conference] that’s our goal.”

The first round of the Conference tournament will be held on November 1st
