Wednesday, Dec. 16, at 7:30 p.m., all choir groups from AHS will be performing in the Winter Choral Concert. Student singers are looking forward to the concert that they have long been preparing for.

The hard work and effort that has been put forth is not only from the students, but their teacher as well.

“Mrs.Dixon-Webb has worked a countless number of hours to help us prepare for tomorrow night’s concert by having her choirs rehearse every single piece of music to be performed until it is of performance caliber,” says senior choir performer Kevin Fields.

The singers not only perform at school but at venues such as the Willard Hotel and the Festival of Lights. Both were part of their practice and preparations for tonight’s concert. However, the concert tonight will take place in the auditorium for friends, family and fellow students to all come watch. Fields is also looking forward to another aspect of the concert tonight.

“I am mostly looking forward to seeing the alumni that will be at the concert, and will enjoy singing alongside them for the Hallelujah Chorus that concludes the concert.

There will be multiples performances this year by the Annandale choirs, and the singers are greatly excited to be a part of each one.

I’m really looking forward to all of the performances this year, especially Broadway Desserts, because everyone gets to shine in the spotlight while they sing Broadway songs,” says sophomore choir member Tatiana Niang. The hard work will pay off will show in the concert tonight in the Annandale auditorium.
