After a snow-filled weekend AHS students are dreading this week’s forecast. “I’m sick of the snow during the week. I only like it so that I can go skiing, but during the week I can’t go,” said junior Ryan Keck. AHS also decided to cancel after school activities for today citing the pending snow. Snow is also expected for Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The county only allows for three days of cancellations of school before it takes away student holidays or extends the school year. With this week’s threats of snow students prepare for the worst.
“I’m really not excited for the snow because I don’t want it to ruin my weekend plans,” said sophomore Jessica Hotter. Although it may mean cutting out future days off other student’s are embracing the possibility of snow.
“I’m happy we might get snow this week because it just means we’ll have more shortened weeks,” said senior Nathan Clayton.
President’s Day would be the first student holiday affected by the possible days off. “Although I would love to miss school now it would be bitter sweet since we would have to go to school on President’s Day,” said Clayton.
