This Black Friday many AHS students braved the crowds and went to stores at midnight in order to save money.

“Seeing all of the crazy shoppers made shopping worth it,” senior James Terrell said.

Seniors Terrell and Jae Min Kim went Black Friday shopping at Leesburg Outlets. The Leesburg outlets, located in Leesburg, Virginia opened at midnight and have a wide variety of stores ranging from Vera Bradley to Nike.

“I got a bunch of stuff from Ralph Lauren and saved money,” Terrell said.

Kim also purchased polo shirts which are usually somewhat expensive and said the saved money made the midnight trip, “worth it.”

Senior Michelle Park works at Aeropostale, a clothing store located in Tyson’s Corner Mall. She worked a 12 hour shift on Black Friday.

“It was chaotic, exhausting, yet memorable. I’ve never worked for 12 hours before on anything. The lines were ridiculously long so we had to direct the flow of the line, it was crazy,” Park said.
