As One Direction brings their worldwide tour to North America, they make a stop at Nationals Park on Aug. 11 which was their fourth show in their North American leg of the tour as well as their second show in the states. As people began arriving at noon, the crowds of people filled up most of the surrounding streets.

“Even before the gates to the stadium even opened the noise was becoming a bit much,” said a mother who was bringing a group of her daughters to the show.
As the entrances opened at 5 p.m., people began flooding in. As every single seat was sold out, a total of almost 43,000 people attended. The show began at 7 p.m. with the opening act 5 Seconds Of Summer, a band that has been touring with One Direction for a year and a half. They sang a total of nine songs and finished at about five minutes until 8 p.m.
However, by that time it began to rain hard. Some people brought small umbrellas or rain jackets while others purchased them from people walking around the stadium for ten dollars a package. However, some people just sat in the rain and did not let it affect them at all.
Some claim it was due to the anticipation of seeing the band preform live and that it would even make the show better. Others claim that the rain did not affect them at all due to the music that was playing although like “Forget You” by Cee Lo Green or hit songs from the movie Grease.
The show began 20 minutes later than scheduled and the band sang a total of twenty three songs. None the less many have said that it was an unforgettable experience.
