President Trump Is Getting Impeached

As of December 18th, 2019, the House of Representatives has voted to impeach President Trump. The reasoning for his impeachment is an obstruction of power Congress and abuse of power.

The case will be sent to Senate to vote on. Although, the Senate is predominantly Republican meaning the chances of President Trump getting voted on being impeached are slim.

In order for a president to be impeached, Congress must vote on the impeachment by secret ballot, if two-thirds of the representatives agree, then the impeachment will go though.

The impeachment inquiry started on September 24th and has gone on to be voted on in the House of Representatives and Congress.

At a recent rally, the president has discussed the democrats trying to impeach him and he believes the Senate will ‘do the right thing’ and vote to keep him in office.

Trump has also tweeted “Can you believe that I will be impeached today by the Radical Left, Do Nothing Democrats, AND I DID NOTHING WRONG! A terrible thing. Read the Transcripts. This should never happen to another President again. Say a PRAYER!”

At the beginning of the debate politician, Nancy Pelosi declared presidents Trump’s actions as ‘reckless’ and she urges him to be impeached.

During the debate, multiple Democrats discussed their reasoning on why the President should be impeached.

If the president does get impeached, vice president Mike Pence will take his spot as acting president.
