When I think of tour films it has to be Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Film. Just like how the rollout
for the film was, Most artists such as Beyoncé and Olivia Rodrigo had their own movies at theaters but the question I have
is if they are really worth going to see? You see, going to a cinema to watch a tour in high visuals sounds cool but the effort of going to
see a film that can easily be seen online is easier. Controversies are no exception to films like these examples being that the films are so called “money grabs” and
“not necessary” but what streaming services don’t have are the elements that make the the elements that make the experience feel so much different
is walking into theater to watch a film by an artist you love in front a huge screen surrounded by
people who have the same interests as you. That’s what’s worth it and the magic of the experience
“I’m really excited to see
Billie’s 3D film of her tour in theaters next month with friends, knowing I’ve been to her show in person I expect it to be a bit different based on the POV,” junior Sophie Chavez said.
From the films I’ve gone to see I’ve never been disappointed with any of them but we can’t tell what the future of these types of films will look like later on.
