With Halloween around the corner, there are many activities that are popping up to get people in the spirit. Whether you are in the mood to get scared or want to do a fun festive activity, we’ve got you covered. Here is a list of exciting activities that you could do this year for Halloween.

While some of the activities from the list do cost a certain amount to participate in, we’ve also included some that are free for people who may be on a budget.

Halloween is a great festive time to spend with family and friends or even by yourself. There are activities out there for you and anyone that you want to do these activities with. With so many options to choose from, ranging from haunted trails to pumpkin patches to dog trick-or-treating, there’s definitely something for everyone! There’s even something for your pets.

While watching a horror movie or just trick-or-treating are Halloween staples, don’t be afraid to branch out with your plans for the nights of horror.

A local Halloween hot spot that is perfect for going with friends for a good scare. Spend time walking through The Forest: Back 40, or riding the Dark Side Hayride, or just relaxing by the bonfire on the Firegrounds.

 

 

 

Immanuel Church Pumpkin Patch

Looking for pumpkins to carve and decorate your house with? Visit the pumpkin patch to find your perfect pumpkin. Pumpkins start at $1 and all proceeds will go to various charities.

 

 

Painting at Muse Paintbar

The paintbar will be hosting several Halloween themed painting sessions. Guests will follow along with an instructor through the process. Make sure to book your session in advance!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ghost Tour of Old Town

If you are in a spooky mood, come to Old Town for their ghost tour. The town is filled with centuries-old houses, war scenes, and murders, which makes it one of the most haunted places in the country.

 

Halloween Parade
Maple Avenue, Vienna, VA 22180
Oct. 27; 7 PM

The Town of Vienna is hosting a Halloween parade. There will be many floats and other forms of entertainment for watchers. You can also march in the parade with everyone else if you arrive at 6 p.m.

 

Dogma’s Dog Trick-or-Treat

Not only will there be activities available for you this Halloween, but also for your furry friend. Dogma is hosting a tick-or-treat event for dogs, where they will have lots of dog treats and a costume contest.

 

 

 

 

 

Workhouse Haunt Trail

Take a walk through the spookily decorated trail from historic buildings to dark forests as costumed actors that are a part of the Workhouse’s Performing Arts Program give you a good scare.
