Getting used to the multiple changes in lifestyle

I want to tell you the differences between Ethiopia and the U.S. Ethiopia was the only county in Africa which was not colonized. The three different things about my country and the U.S. are the weather, school and language.

The weather is very different in Ethiopia. In Ethiopia, it is warm for the whole year, but in the U.S. the weather changes every season. There is also more rain in the U.S. When I was in Ethiopia, I never saw snow. As you can see, the weather in the U.S. is not even a little similar to Ethiopia.

The second difference between my country and the U.S. is school. School in Ethiopia is much harder then at AHS because the teachers are stricter in Ethiopia. The school schedule is also longer. We have eight to ten periods a day, where we have to learn three different languages than Ethiopian. We use more technology in the U.S. than in Ethiopia. I prefer American school better because it has a shorter schedule and more relaxed curriculum.

The third difference is language. In Ethiopia, the national language is Amharic. As I said earlier, at school we learn three different languages. One of them is English, but we only speak Ethiopian to communicate with other people. We have different accents at AHS  thn the American people in Ethiopia.

Those are the three different things between Ethiopia and the U.S. In the beginning, it was hard to get used to these differences. However, I think it is going to be easier every day.
