Whoever said that senior year is the easiest year out of high school, was completely wrong. Manyseniors around this time have been overwhelmed with the duties of registering for SAT’S/ ACT’s, planning out college visits, and filling out college applications. Besides having to deal with everything colleges demand, students are expected tocontinue completing homework, projects, and essays on time. Unfortunately, all of this hard work does not just get finished during school nights but instead extends throughout the weekend.
“Senior year has been very stressful because there’s too much homework, too many things to do, it’s really expensive but I’m still trying to have a good time,” senior, Cynthia Quintanilla said .
Now more then ever, weekends are very appreciated for two reasons: catching up on homework that did not get finished during the week and relaxing with either family or friends.
“[Weekends] are my time to take a day off from school work to go someplace nice and serene with a friend to grab some lunch, maybe for for a walk or a drive just to get our minds off anything that may be stressing us,” senior Adeeba Rasoli said.
While some students use their time in a more relaxing way, others try to live up their weekends to the highest extent. Sometimes the best way to get rid of stress is to have your weekend booked with things you love to do.
“My weekends are usually filled with things to do. I go to work during the day and go out with my friends at night, there’s always something to do” senior Glenda Sanchez said.
