Atoms wide receiver Melvin Robinson was placed among an elite company of D.C. Metropolitan high school football players with the honor of 1st Team all Met. The prestigious award is given to the top three wide receivers in the area. Head football coach Richard Adams had this to say about the honor.
“ I think it is a tremendous accomplishment for Melvin, I think he is very deserving not only physically on the field playing, but even more so because of his growth in maturity and becoming a true team player.”
“It’s a great honor and I’m very proud,” said the 6’3 210 junior who was the only representative from Annandale High School and was the only junior wide receiver selected to the All-met team. Although his season this year was not as productive as last year, he was able to work through double and sometimes even triple teams to continue success. “Everyone was more prepared for Melvin this year and he never complained, he was selfless and a great team player.” continued Coach Adams.
Robinson is a highly recruited player already receiving offers to major college football programs. Look forward to seeing this star player compete next year for the Annandale atoms and into the future on the college field.
