Spring brings excitement from students

Finally, the day we have all been looking forward to, the first day of spring, is near. March 20, the first day of spring, not only means that we are closer to warm weather, but also to Spring Break. With spring break a month away, it is nice to know that spring is officially here.

“I like the weather because its not that hot but not too cold,” junior Carl Jarin said. After all the cold days, shivering all the way to the bus stop, it is nice to be able to bust out those dusty flip-flops and shorts and enjoy the weather, even if break wont be here for a while.

“I am sad about Spring Break coming so late because I just want to rest,” Jarin said.

“The thing I love most about Spring are the sports; soccer is my favorite and I was excited to be the soccer manager for JV and Varsity soccer this season,” freshman Lauren Flores said. AHS students also play students outside of school during the spring season.

“I play soccer for a travel team called premier AC,” sophomore Nico Clavel said. Sports, flip–flops and a much needed break: all things to look forward to as the weather warms and the end of the third quarter approaches.
