Atom Time can be very beneficial to our academic health, when used appropriately.

1. Don’t risk becoming ‘directed’!

Always keep track of your assignments, and do well (pass with awesome grades) in class so you don’t have to receive an orange slip marking all your directed locations.

2. Study

Form study groups with students a week or two before a major test or project and find a quit space to complete the work. Most students are able to comprehend information easier when they are able to communicate with students they know well, and as a result achieve higher scores.

3. Go to the library

Use this time to work on homework, even if it isn’t immediately due the next day. It is best to start getting used to completing your tasks and assignments on time in preparation for college!

4. Talk with your teacher

If you know you are struggling with classwork in Physics, go to your physics teacher and get an evaluation done of your weaknesses and strengths of the current unit you are going over in class. They may send you to another class to work with students, or may provide you with a peer student tutor. Work with your peers in the class, especially if they are students studying the same material as you, it will help you acclimate to the concepts and help your friend absorb the ideas as well.
