DSA Karl Kerns takes position at Lake Braddock Secondary School
Purple and gold is the new red and white for Karl Kerns, Director of Student Activities here at AHS. Speculation about his departure has been going around for a few weeks now, but on Monday Nov. 14 he laid the rumors to rest.
“I have accepted the position of Director of Student Activities at Lake Braddock Secondary School,” Kerns said in an email to faculty.
His new position at Lake Braddock will be effective Dec. 1 but his position as Atoms director will not be abandoned immediately.
“I will remain at Annandale HS through the Thanksgiving Break to continue to work & prepare fo
r the current winter season and upcoming spring season,” Kerns email said.
Kerns is excited about his position at Lake Braddock, but he also stated that “I will miss all the coaches/staff here at Annandale.”
The Activities Office will continue to move forward despite Kerns’s upcoming absence and and a new DSA will be hired shortly.
