Why did you decide to pursue the IB diploma?

“I decided to pursue the IB diploma because I wanted to challenge myself and take the top course load if possible.”

What extracurriculars are you in?

“Technology student association, math honor society, national honor society, robotics club, and some other things.”

What HLs do you take and why?

“I take IB math Analysis HL, IB Physics HL, and I take IB English Lit HL because since I’m in IB French 1 and I have to do ab initio I don’t have the option to do French HL. I took history over the summer in my junior year so I don’t have the option to do HL history and I’m interested in the STEM field so I wanted to challenge myself.”

How are you feeling about the IB diploma going into your senior year?

“I’m feeling worried about all of these IAs and the exams but I think now that i’ve gotten used to how IB works and the course load, its not as scary as it was going from sophomore year to junior year”

How have IB classes helped you?

“They’ve made me really learn how to study and boosted my work ethic up. I think I used to [slack off], everything came to me easy. Now I’m definitely challenged and have to think [in] a different way for things.”

What do you plan/want to do after you graduate high school?

“I want to attend a university and study chemical engineering”
