Winter Hair Tips

The most wonderful time of the year is just around the corner!  Make sure frustrating hair doesn’t dampen your holiday spirit.  Fight the yearly winter hair miseries by avoiding constant hair damage caused by the severe winter dryness.  These tips will help keep your hair scorching hot through the harsh winter months!

• Before stepping outside on your way to school, try to dry your hair as much as possible.  The cold weather against your wet hair can form breakage.

• Overnight, make an effort to sleep with conditioner in your hair.  You’ll wake up in the morning with silky smooth locks.

• When showering, rinse out your conditioner with cool water.  This will help your hair create a natural shine.

• Drink plenty of water.  Just like your body, hair needs hydration too.

• Before straighten your hair, apply a leave in conditioner to help lock in moisture.

• Get your hair trimmed at least every eight weeks.  Dryness begins at the ends of your hair, so put a stop to the brittleness before it beings.

• Use shampoos and conditioners with the words “replenishing” in the name.

• Avoid shampooing hair every day.  Shampoo strips the hair of its natural oils, which hair produces less of during the winter months.

• Wash your hair in lukewarm water; hot water causes hair to frizz.

• To avoid hair static, spray some hairspray onto your hairbrush before combing through hair.

Use a comb when brushing wet hair.  This will limit the amount of unwanted volume.

This is definitely one of the better articles I have stumbled across on this topic. Have you considered the other side of the topic of natural health? To be candid, I think a decent argument could be made either way, but let me know if you have any more sites or articles on the Internet that back up what you are discussing.
