Theater:

CLASS ACTS—THURSDAY, OCTOBER 13, 7 p.m.

A fun competition between all four classes that judges the acting and directing of various one-act plays put on solely by the students of that particular class. The winning class earns money towards their class fund.

ARSENIC AND OLD LACE­—NOVEMBER 10, 11, & 12, 7 p.m.

Fall play that depicts a drama critic forced to deal with his insane, homicidal family while also trying to figure out if he really wants to commit to the woman that he has promised to marry.

SPRING MUSICAL (TBA SOON)—APRIL 19, 20, & 21, 7 p.m.

With the success of last year’s AHS production of “Grease”, this year’s spring musical is sure to please AHS drama supporters, old and new. Theater teacher George Bennett says, “All are welcome! Come on down and audition!”

BROADWAY DESSERTS—JANUARY 15 & 16

A long-standing tradition for the AHS Choral Department, this event showcases various AHS choral students singing Broadway showtunes and dancing at George Mason University as both single and group performances.

SINGING VALENTINES FUNDRAISER— TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 14 (ALL DAY EVENT) Every Valentine’s Day, choral students perform love ballads around the school for students that have had one purchased for them by another. These singing valentines can be purchased at lunch.

CHORUS SPRING TRIP (TO DISNEY WORLD)—MARCH 14 – 18

Choral students compete in Orlando, Florida to be rated as part of their district, as well as enjoying the activities of the Walt Disney World park.

FALL MARCHING BAND PERFORMANCES (ALL HOME FOOTBALL GAMES)

The Annandale marching band performs their choreographed routines during every half-time show at every AHS home game.

A yearly event for the AHS Visual Arts Department, this event showcases various AHS visual art students’ best work from over the course of the year.
