Battlefield 4 Beta Review

Battlefield 4 Beta Review

The world of Battlefield has never experienced a game like this. Battlefield 4 has optimized each specific action in the Battlefield series and has so far exceeded expectations for the full game’s release.
Battlefield 3, the previous game in the series, went above and beyond its predecessors, but now Battlefield 4 is expected to take its rightful spot on the throne of the Battlefield series. The changes in the game have definitely been noticed, as all players are more and more excited with the improvements.
Every class has been optimized, including the formerly underpowered recon class. Instead of separate gadget slots, now each class has two choices from the same list. Also, there are now several different attachment slots for weapons that don’t interfere with each other (as they shouldn’t have in Battlefield 3). The vehicles have also improved, allowing more attachments/upgrades to their customization. The addition of boats has been greatly anticipated, and they are as great as they were hyped up to be.
Their 25mm cannon and speed are extremely powerful, especially when the skyscraper has fallen in the conquest map. However, the hype has been surrounding Levolution. I can honestly say that it is exactly as expected. Everything can be destroyed. Whether it be the skyscraper in the center of the map, walls in the mall, or cover by the cross-bridges, every point on the map has something interactive or destructible. It certainly isn’t a perfect game, but it will definitely keep players entertained until the real game.
At the current moment, the game is in beta. The full game will be released Oct. 29, but for now, since Oct. 4, there is an open beta available on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. There is one map available, and it has two modes- Conquest (large scale- objective capturing points) and Domination (small scale Conquest, no vehicles). As it is a beta, there are expected bugs. Players have been experiencing some loading issues, such as being stuck on the loading screen or frequent disconnections, but otherwise, it is what has been expected in beta.
Otherwise, the game is hugely popular, action-packed, and a load of fun. I expect my friends and I to keep playing and having a great time throughout the beta.
