Q&A with Thomas Chorman

Q%26A+with+Thomas+Chorman

The Science National Honor Society will be hosting a fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at the Annandale v. Oakton football game on Sept. 21 at 7 p.m. Physics teacher Thomas Chorman is in charge of the event and answered questions to encourage all students to come and take part in it.

Q: What made you think of this fundraising idea?

A: The person at the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society who works with schools who do Pennies for Patients suggested that I talk to the Oakton parents after they decided to hold a fundraiser at this game.

Q: Is there anything different from this fundraiser from ones the SNHS has done in the past?

A: This is different because this is a very large event to be fundraising at. Normally we put on our own events and the crowds are much smaller. It will be nice to have a large crowd to get out the word on LLS and hopefully also raise some funds.

Q: Is there anything you’d like students to know?

A: Please come out to support the Annandale Football Team, and while you are there, make sure to stop by the LLS stand to compete in the football passing competition. It would be awesome if we got enough people there to reduce the home field advantage with our crowd!

Q: Any other thoughts you’d like to add?

A: Rock the Atomic Red, Atoms! See you at Oakton on Friday night – I’ll be the 6’ 7” dude with face paint on!
