At about 5:15 yesterday afternoon, the local police responded to shooting on Davian Drive in Annandale. They say it was called in by residents neighboring the crime scene. Police investigation showed that the commotion occurred outside of the residence and that all parties were familiar with each other.

The dispute consisted of a 19 and 20 year old woman getting shot. A teenage female was also injured along with another woman who suffered a medical emergency as a result of the fight. Thankfully, they were found close to the crime scene and were taken to the local hospital which revealed all parties involved were alive and treatable.

All parties involved in the conflict were accounted for and nobody was had life threatening injuries. Detectives examined the crime scene and have the firearm used in their possession. At the moment, it is being further investigated and there are no more details at this point.

Although the fight happened only a couple hundred yards away from Annandale High School, there is no affiliation between the fight and the high school. All women involved were older besides one teenager who anonymous sources say is enrolled at Annandale High School.

Tim Thomas, AHS principal, made the following statement about the incident: “I have yet to receive confirmation about any of the individuals involved and their potential connection to AHS. Nonetheless,  I wanted you to be aware in the event that you hear chatter from students.  Please remind students that their safety and security remains a top priority for all of us and that the incident is not school-related.”
