Freshman Janan Gogturk is an not only an athlete at AHS, but she also maintains a 3.9 weighted GPA while currently in classes such as Pre-IB World History 2, English 9, Concert Choir, Biology, Geometry, Arabic 1, and P.E. Gogturk also makes herself known throughout the house-league lacrosse world by participating in Triple Edge. You can find her at JV field hockey and lacrosse practices and enjoys playing lacrosse, reading, being with family, and being with friends. It might seem difficult to be involved in sports, any honors classes, and out of school activities, but Gogturk can give a little advice on how to stay successful. “I stay focused and make sure I don’t involve myself with unnecessary things that will take away from my overall success.”
