Crafty Crab worth a try

Crafty Crab worth a try

Crafty Crab is a restaurant located in a nice and enclosed plaza. This restaurant serves a mix between seafood and fast food. Inside, they have a bar and enclosed dining areas, which are sanitized. They have great chefs that make amazing quality food for their customers. The restaurant is designed as a casual diner where pretty loud conversations take place. It includes a bar and front desk for those who are ordering carryout. They serve items like the blue crab, shrimp, oysters, scallops, cheese sticks, french fries, and more.

I got the shrimp platter, which includes a side of fries and the cheese sticks. Overall, the meal was great based on how the sides complemented the main dish. The shrimp was great: it was fried and didn’t have too much batter so as to make it unappetizing. The fries to accompany the shrimp were also great and not too salty. However, the cheese sticks were horrendous. They were hard and, for some reason, I couldn’t even swallow them.

Fortunately, the other dishes were great and made me forget how bad the cheese sticks were. The service was great, which I wasn’t expecting because of the fact that it was a diner. I had to wait five minutes to get my food, which was surprisingly fast. The price for one order of shrimp with a side of fries and cheese sticks was 14 dollars, which is very affordable. This restaurant was fairly clean and for the most part sanitized, but I would still recommend getting carryout to be on the safe side. This is a very casual place, which means you can come with friends and family and don’t need to dress too formally. You can order on a phone call or you can enter the restaurant as well.

Overall, Crafty Crab is worth going to. I would give them three out of five stars because of the cheese sticks, but everything else was pretty good. They are located at 5770 Dow Avenue Alexandria, VA. They are open from noon through 10 p.m on Sundays through Thursdays and noon through 11 p.m. on Fridays through Saturdays. I highly recommend that you go try the food at Crafty Crab, but I wouldn’t recommend getting the cheese sticks.
