AHS Theatre Company Prepares for the Fall Play

The Annandale Theatre Company presents Argonautika: The Voyage of Jason and the Argonauts. It’ll be their first play of the 2022-2023 school year. From Nov. 17-Nov. 20, AHS theater students will be showcasing their hard work to the public.

“People should come and watch the play so they can have a fun night of cheap entertainment!” Theatre Director Ms. Brunberg said. “It’s only $5 for AHS staff and students. For $5 you will laugh, you may cry, and you will see a story full of adventure, mystery, gods, goddesses, and monsters. From an LED skeleton fight to a whirlwind romance, there is something in this play for everyone to enjoy.”

Argonautika: The Voyage of Jason and the Argonauts, is being performed by AHS’s very own theater students. The annual fall play will be held on Nov. 17, 18, and 19, at 7pm and on Nov. 20 at 3pm in the auditorium.

“The show entirely as a whole is a big thing that I am proud of, but it’s mostly because of the amount of work the actors have done,” Assistant Director Nikolia Crowl said. “It is a very heavy and meaningful show so the actors had to work very hard, and even the new actors who haven’t done anything like this in the past have stepped it up.”

For the past few months, these actors have been dedicated to this show to make sure that it is a night that we will never forget by continuously working hard and preparing to showcase their talents to the community.

“The play to me is something that many people including myself and especially Ms. Brunberg have dedicated ourselves to over these past few months,” freshman Kathleen Tran playing both Atalanta and Rumor said. “I’m grateful for it because it gave me an opportunity to meet and bond with some of my favorite people at the schoo
