Annandale looking for a big win against Forest Park

Tonight, the Varsity football team takes on Forest Park in a non conference game.
This is the Atoms second game of the season and the team is hoping for a win tonight. Just like Annandale, Forest Park has also started the season off with a loss.
After a close fought battle against Woodson High School, the Atoms unfortunately ended up losing by only one point,35-34.
It was a strong performance, however, the Atoms just didn’t get the result they wanted. Coach Scott made a crucial call at the end of the game to go for a two point conversion to take the lead instead of tying the game with a field goal, but the Atoms could not capitalize on the opportunity.
Freshman Emanuel Adomakoh shared his thoughts about how the Atoms can pull off a win, “In order to win we have to execute on both sides of the ball, play together as a team, and pick each other up no matter what,” Adomakoh said.
“What will be important to our success tonight will just everybody motivating each other, and keeping our head in the game,” Adomakoh said.
With Junior Danny Salisbury as the starting quarterback for tonight, it is shaping up to be a good game.
The game is set to take place at 7:00 pm tonight at home and will cost $5 to get in. It is a red out, so make sure to wear your red atoms gear.
